MP GOLDERS GREEN ONLY LONDON NURSERY TO WIN PLATINUM – 29 Aug 2019
Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery Golders is the first nursery in London to receive national recognition for the quality of care it offers children.
MP Golders Green has been awarded the National Day Nurseries Association’s ‘Quality Counts’ PLATINUM award after a year of self-evaluation, continuous improvements and after a full independent inspection.
Quality Counts is a national quality scheme designed to help a nursery explore all aspects of its care and education to ensure that it is delivering the best possible service for young children. For the past 12 months, MP Golders Green has been working towards the award, which acts as an indicator to parents of the high-quality care that is offered across the areas of:
Play and Learning, Health, Safety and Wellbeing, Leadership and Management Workforce
Sonia Bell, the Nursery Manager comments: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded Quality Counts Platinum level. This is a special achievement and reaching this point is a culmination of much hard work from the nursery team. I would like to thank everyone who has supported us during our QC journey and we are all very much looking forward to celebrating our success in the coming months and ensuring continuous improvements to our service.”
Purnima Tanuku, Chief Executive of National Day Nurseries Association (NDNA) adds:
“Congratulations to Monkey Puzzle Golders Green which is the first London nursery to achieve the highest standard of Quality Counts, our quality improvement scheme for early years.
NDNA developed this national quality scheme to help nurseries explore all aspects of their care and education to ensure they are delivering the best possible service for their young children. Research shows that a good quality early years education makes a real difference in a child’s life, giving them the best start they can possibly have.
Achieving Quality Counts takes a great deal of dedication from the whole nursery team and illustrates a nursery’s absolute commitment to continuous improvement to deliver high quality care for all children.”
Quality Counts (QC) is the quality accreditation scheme from NDNA.
