At Monkey Puzzle Day Nursery, we don’t have any hidden extras. Our fees include everything from freshly prepared meals, to branded nappies, wipes and creams.
Our prices are in line with local nurseries in the area and include extras such as nappies, wipes, creams and extra exercise classes with ‘Stretch and Grow’ every week. Our rates are the same across all age groups.

Universal 15 hour funding
Funded only places are available on a first come, first served basis. For all other places, your child needs to attend at least 4 sessions at the nursery to receive 12 of the funded hours free and at least 5 sessions for the full 15 hours.
Up to 30 hour government funding for 3 & 4 year olds
Working parents may be eligible for up to 30 hours a week (stretched over 51 weeks). This entitlement is means tested by the Local Authority. To see if you are eligible for this and for more information, visit www.childcarechoices.gov.uk. If you find you are eligible, you must obtain a code from the Local Authority yourself and provide it to the Nursery. Funded only places are available on a first come, first served basis.
Emergency back-up care
We also offer Emergency back up care. Please get in touch if you are looking for temporary childcare.
For parents who can provide evidence of being teachers, we can offer childcare places at the normal fees for 38 weeks (term time) and a discounted rate (75% of fees) for the 14 weeks that schools are closed. This gives parents the flexibility to have their children home during the holidays if they wish. These spaces are limited, please contact the nursery to discuss.
The Nursery is open 51 weeks of the year. We close between Christmas and New Year and Bank Holidays. We also close for 2 inset (staff training) days per year. This gives us the time required to train our staff to the highest possible standard, ensuring best practice for your child and ongoing professional development for our practitioners.
As standard across privately run nurseries, fees are still payable when you are on holiday, if your child is sick and for bank holidays/inset days as per terms and conditions. This is because you are charged at a 51 week rate a year as opposed to 52 weeks so you make up the time across the year.
