Monkey Puzzle Golders Green has a variety of clubs during the week that compliment our learning. Our classes continue our children’s exploring and helps them learn about themselves and the world around them.

Forest School

Our hugely popular weekly forest school is one club we are very proud of. It aims to fill children with a wonder for the world around them, while also teaching them about safety, weather and caring for the environment. We are lucky to have some excellent areas of natural beauty around us, including Golders Hill Park, which we visit weekly but we also venture further out every now and then to make the most of the local public transport network as well!

Cooking Club

Our weekly cooking club is a big hit with the children as they get to learn some cooking skills from our brilliant chef, Stephanie. Classes include baking, pizza making, from farm to fork themes, learning about the food of different cultures and enjoying eating and drinking healthy.

All of these activities tie in with what our other clubs teach and the values we try to instil in your children from an early age. We want to encourage our children to try as many new and different things as possible to expand their tastes and palette. Parents are invited to either send in some favourite home recipes or run these classes with us to have as much variety as possible. If you are willing to teach a class or help out with one, please contact manager@monkeypuzzlegoldersgreen.co.uk any time.

Kidaktive

Kidaktive teaches children that exercise is fun fitness programme for all our age groups but, more than that, it is a complete health programme that is aimed at encouraging the habits of a lifetime.

Provided by Kim Davidson’s team, these classes aim to teach the children the basics of proper exercise, nutrition, and related health issues in a really fun and exciting way. There are fun monthly themes such as Magic, Space, Pirates, Jungle, Circus or Dinosaurs. Classes include a warm up story, aerobic exercises to some really fun music, endurance routine (the children learn and exercise a different muscle each week), discussion (on a topic such as healthy eating, hygiene, sharing and helping, visiting the dentist etc) and ending with cool down song.  Props such as beanbags, stars, scarves, animals and batons help to ensure the children have a great time and learn to love exercising.
