May News

Our theme for the month is ‘People who help us’ and we have a busy month of activities planned for the kids. The Metropolitan Police have already paid us a visit and spoken to children about the number 999 and when to dial it. They even let our little ones see their baton, radio, camera and handcuffs! The children had a look at the police vehicle and learn that emergency services take people through to the Police, Ambulance, Fire Brigade or Lifegaurd Service!

We have the Fire Brigade coming soon and our lovely Parents who are Doctors are popping in all month to talk to the kids about medicine, health and teeth!

March News

Take a look at some of the wonderful activities we’ve had going on at Monkey Puzzle Golders Green this month…

Mother’s Day

We hosted our very first Mother’s Day breakfast for our lovely mummies on 22nd March. Mums had a chance to catch up with staff and receive a red rose from their children as a little thank you for all the wonderful things they do. Take a look at some of our heart-warming pictures – we dare you not to say “aww”!

St Patricks Day

We celebrated St Patricks Day by turning the nursery green on 16th March with staff, kids and decorations being turned green. The children spent the day decorating shamrocks, learning about St Patrick’s Day and doing a lot of arts and crafts.

March also saw the nursery celebrate the Hindu of Holi which marks the arrival of Spring. It is known as the “festival of colours” or the “festival of love” and we like to celebrate love in across all our brilliant cultures and religions. Staff had a great time chasing the kids around our garden with coloured powder and the children loved not just the messy play but also the tidying and washing up afterwards. Their colourful t-shirts are on display in the classroom as a reminder of our fun day.
